By far the best birthday present I have ever been given. It has helped me capture some of the sweetest moments of my life. Way to go Nikon D40X DSL camera making people! I love this gadget.

Obviously you like this camera. Is it easy to use? We are looking at the Canon version of this baby, but I am comparing Nikon, too.
I went back and forth between this camera and the Rebel. I talked to lots of people (photographers) and hands down- everyone chose the Nikon. It's smaller (more ergonomically correct) and weighs less. It wasn't until I was in the market to buy one that I started noticing- but police, pappoz, journalists, etc... they all use Nikon. They have them at Costco for a great price too. Wow- I should be a spokeswoman for Nikon AND Costco!
